Thumbnail Party!

I got to doodling one night and it turned into a day and a half of hardcore stinky marker play. Inspired by the frenzy of online communication, these drawings of "thumbnails" were later Photoshoped into a pattern and layout in a T-shirt template below.

I've been working on my character design for some t-shirts I'm working on for Threadless.com. It's not 100% done yet. Maybe there's too many critters in the trees.

I'm beginning this blog with a series of recent sketches from my big sketchbooks. For those of you are not familiar with my work, my illustration style is based on a modular graphics. Currently I'm working on expanding my vocabulary of shapes and lines with a focus on character design.
